How to Cook Delicious
Japanese-Style Rice

Here are a few tips to cooking sticky, fluffy, flavorful rice unique to the Japanese style. Use a rice cooker and soft mineral water and follow these easy steps.

STEP 1
MEASURE THE RICE

Measure it accurately with a rice measuring cup (180ml).

RINSE THE RICE

Pour in water, stir briefly

MEASURE THE WATER
AND SOAK THE RICE

Add water until it's level with the appropriate line in the rice cooker. Let the rice soak for two hours before you start cooking it.

STEAM THE RICE

When the rice is done cooking, let it steam for 15 to 20 minutes without opening the lid.

MIX THE RICE

Dampen a rice scoop, then fold the rice over from bottom to top to release the steam.
